For the Superbowl

Model wearing football jersey and holding a football.

I took some images last week with the inspiration of “team spirit.” In anticipation of the Superbowl I felt a need to celebrate! I will admit I am a loyal Patriots fan. While the Patriots did not win the Superbowl, it was truly a great game. Congratulations to the Giants, well played! I had a great time making these images and I hope you enjoy them!

Melissa & John: Engagement

Couple embracing each other.

Here at T. Waterman Photography I am all about making my clients happy! Last year when I met with Melissa to go over the Photography plans for her Wedding she informed me there would not be a way for her and John to be together to take engagement portraits before their Wedding. However, she said she would still love to have engagement style pictures. I simply told her, “well we can always do them after the Wedding!” She simply smiled and said, “thank you so much!”

Earlier this summer I met John and Melissa at a public park in Manchester. There was a small chance of rain that day, so of course it rained all afternoon! Well, that did not stop us from making beautiful pictures! Luckily, there was a pavilion that provided much needed shelter. Under the pavilion I told them to be at ease and just really enjoy each other’s company. Having photographed their Wedding last year I knew this couple had an amazing bond. Their chemistry is pure and it is extremely evident in all of their photos. I had such an amazing time photographing Melissa and John that day. To be in the presence of true love is nothing less than an honor and I never take it for granted. The connection that John and Melissa share is beautiful and full of bliss.

What my clients have to say!

I just recently received a written review from one of my clients. I photographed their Wedding on New Years Eve of 2010 and I also photographed their engagement portraits. Reading their review brought so much happiness to my week and I just have to share it! This review was intended for public view so here you go!

“Tim- Let me start by saying you are an amazing photographer! Our pictures came out great! The entire process was seamless. I love the fact that you sat down and reviewed every step with us before the wedding and once again when you delivered the photos. Plus we were able to customize our package with all of the options you have available.

Your website is a great tool for anyone that you provide services to. We loved that we could log in and see the photos posted along the way and share them with our family and friends! It was so exciting to see pictures just days after the wedding. All in all, the experience was awesome and you are so much fun to work with!

I would recommend you to anyone. I feel as though you went above and beyond anything in our contract and far exceeded our expectations. Your creative techniques and attention to detail truly captured all of the little moments of our special day. Thank you so much for everything.”

Asha & Brent: Wedding

A couple kissing at their Wedding

Friday May 20th, 2011 had a forecast with a high probability of rain. However, when I woke up that morning I had a feeling the rain would stay away. Asha and Brent were to be married on this beautiful friday at the end of May, how could it possibly rain? Though I did prepare for the worst (non stop showers) by packing umbrellas and camera covers, I approached the day with an attitude that “beautiful pictures will be made today no matter what!” Later that day I arrived at the Brookwood Inn, in historic Pittsford, NY. Asha greeted me at the door and her smile was bright and cheery. This was an ecstatic Bride and she could not wait for all the joyous events that were to come!

Soon after arriving the Bridal makeup session began. Becky Atwood, a local Mary Kay Saleswoman and Asha’s cousin, performed the honors. As I witnessed the makeup session from start to finish I saw Asha show many sincere expressions of emotion. She would warmly smile as Becky talked to her and then gaze into the distance indicating serious thought. I took pictures non stop, these were the expressions of a stunning Bride mentally preparing for the momentous day ahead.

Asha picked out a beautiful white dress with elegantly draped fabric. The shoes were open toed and vibrantly navy blue in color. The suite she was staying in was luxurious and had had a classically decorated bedroom to use for giving the dress and shoes their well deserved spotlight.

Three floors up in the same hotel Brent, his groomsmen, his father and father-in-law to be were getting ready for the ceremony as well. It was a room filled with great spirit and anticipation. Brent’s mood matched Asha’s perfectly. He was ready to meet his precious Bride at the altar just down the road at the Burgundy Basin.

Before leaving I visited Asha’s hotel room again and took some Bridal portraits before she was to leave for the ceremony. With my assistant outside the hotel window we were able to capture Asha from both an inside and outside angle. Asha could not have looked more glamorous!

The Wedding Ceremony was held outside in front of a beautiful white gazebo on the plush green grounds of the Burgundy Basin. Asha walked down the isle at about 6:30 P.M. The soft yellow sun was shining, the sky was a clear light blue, and the wind every so slightly elevated Asha’s vail behind her as she walked toward her Groom. The ceremony was filled with laughter and love.

I’ll never forget the look Asha gave Brent after he said “I do.”  What she was thinking, I’ll never know. However, this image captured the unique chemistry that they share.

As they put rings onto each other’s fingers, the anticipation grew with the friends and family gathered at the ceremony for their first kiss.

And a beautiful first kiss it was…

Shortly before the end of the ceremony Asha showed all her inner bliss with this unforgettable smile.

A few moments later, Asha and Brent walked down the isle into the warm sunlight together as Man and Wife.

The reception followed and it was also at the Burgundy Basin. The Bride and Groom enjoyed their first dinner as a married couple with all of their closest family and friends. The first dances followed with many tears of joy and frequent laugher. The white cake with different shades of blue frosted leaves was cut and lovingly shared by the Bride and Groom. Classic dance music played late into the night to celebrate this wonderful day in Asha and Brent’s lives.

I am so honored that Asha and Brent asked me to Photograph their Wedding Day. If I had to some up their Wedding Day in three words they would be: live, love and laugh. I truly wish this special couple nothing but the best as they now embark on their married lives together!

Asha & Brent

Engagement Image

I had a wonderful opportunity to complete an Engagement photo session with a beautiful couple recently. It was a truly special experience for me as I was able to witness the genuine love that Asha and Brent have for one another. They have been together for many years and the chemistry they share is very evident after spending only a few minutes with them. The way they would look into each other’s eyes and smile truly inspired my session with them.

We spent the duration of the session along the Pittsford Canal. This only seemed fitting as they are scheduled to be married on the 20th of May, 2011 at a location not to far from the canal in Pittsford. It was a gorgeous day, we could not have asked for better weather. The sun was shining with clear blue skies, the temperature was a pleasant 75 degrees. We visited several locations along the canal and took many pictures along the way. Asha and Brent could not stop smiling and laughing, the perfect behavior for an engagement session!

With the time I have been able to spend with them, Asha and Brent have made it clear to me that there is an abundance of love and adoration in their relationship. I am so excited for them as they embark on the next chapter in their lives!
